Of Returned Friends and Grades

Welcome back my beloved darlings from NS (Jal and Sarah). It seems like a faze how fast time flies. I recall consoling Sarah, telling her that NS will be over before she knows it, and voila!! It is now officially behind you darlings! God bless you guys for coming home in one piece!

Speaking of things behind us, the dreaded SPM results has also become a thing of the past. Nobody need no details, but to those who did well CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Its now time to carry on with life, no more putting the future off with the excuse of "After results laa".

Just a mental note for everyone though, SPM is just the beggining of a life-long journey. From this point onwards, they'd be bigger and scarier things to worry about. Like rolling in cash to sustain a living, going to work because you're obliged to, finishing up projects that might get you fired if not done well and of course, studying like crap in college.

Me and Cheeks probably had a small taste of this reality by working at TGI Fridays. But even that, we didn't work to earn a living and it was already hard enough.

So high-flyers- be realistic, and the others, well just remember that Someone's watching over you. It isn't the end, and I'm not saying it just because I'm saying it. It's really true.

On a lighter note, it was awesome to meet so many friends on one single occasion! Nearly everyone I wanted to see was there (with the exception of Mag and a few others) but I am still grateful to have met those that I have met.

Right after the SPM results, we went to have lunch at Ikea. Although Florence and I have been very very thrifty these past few months where transportation is concerned (we only took rm1 busses and free shuttle service), we gave in yesterday because the weather was scorching!! Hence, in the spirit of not frying our skin under the baking Sun, we paid a little more and took taxis. Lunch lasted about 2 hours (the eating bit was probably only less than 20minutes), spent mostly on yapping and yapping and yapping and more yapping about things. I love chatting with close friends~

And this picture is to show you how important oil blotters are when going out in Malaysia. Faces can get really really oily in a matter of minutes (ie. me) and photos taken shall be shiny and really fugly. So carry these oil blotters I'm talking about and blot before you snap. Unless you look like Fana (whom is gorgeous 98% of the time), don't try to be kiam siap with these neccesities.

Watched 10,000 BC after lunch with Jal, Huey Ee and Florence. The movie was ohh-kay, more amazing because of the hot lead character, the blue-eyed Evolet, the mega-chun effects and all the suspense; not so much on the storyline. My brother reckons it's because of the producers, who also produced "the Day After Tommorow", which takes the cake for the horrid of most horrid movies. So I guess he has a point.

Thats all for now. Oh? Did I forget to mention that in 3 months time Jal has decided to become a stud? The way he looks now, its enough to make any guy wanna sign up for NS to beef up a little. Great job pal! You did great and look absolutely fantabulous! I R so proud of you!

Luckily I managed to swipe this one awesome picture with so many people. Finally, a nice picture of many people! And you can see the "new" stud-ly Jal in the earlier picture!

Gotta keyboard-off now. My cat's pushing open the room door. Wonder how it got so smart and learnt to do that..
